Participating Councils

There are currently 5 Local Councils in Northern Ireland participating in LocalViewNI.  As a citizen within these 5 Local Council areas LocalViewNI will facilitate access to local services in your area.  If your Council is not represented below we suggest that you contact your Local Council and ask them to contact us for details on how to become part of this innovative citizen services portal.    

Omagh District Council
Omagh District Council is one of 26 local authorities in Northern Ireland. The Council has a range of roles and functions including: a direct role in which the council is responsible within its own area for certain services; a representative role where its nominees sit as representatives on various statutory bodies; a consultative role through which the council reflects the views of the community on the operation of certain regional services; provision of direct services and an enabling role.

Newry & Mourne District Council
Newry & Mourne District Council, has the responsibility of providing leadership and a duty to promote the social, economic and environmental well-being of its communities, creating a potential role as co-ordinators of a wide range of services through a variety of multi-agency partnerships. The Council is dedicated to the delivery of services which are cost effective, efficient and comprehensive.

Derry City Council
Derry City Council aims to provide good quality services for all communities. Their aim is to provide “quality and value for money services, defined by the needs of the region, delivered in an efficient and responsive manner. The objectives of Derry City Council include providing services which reflect local and regional needs; efficient, accessible and responsive services; standards of excellence in the delivery of all their services and value for money & continuous improvement in what they deliver.

Lisburn City Council
Lisburn City Council is Northern Ireland's newest City Council, representing the second largest Council area in Northern Ireland.  Lisburn City Council's aspiration is to be a first class public service organisation in a City that is recognised as the premier place in Northern Ireland to live, work, visit and play.  Lisburn City Council represents the interests of all the people of the City. North Down Borough Council
North Down Borough Council’s role is to improve quality of life for all the citizens of the Borough.  They do this by providing strong civic leadership and delivering efficient local services. Over the past few years, North Down has led the way in local government. They have delivered a new recycling centre and their record on the environment is recognised as one of the best in Northern Ireland. LocalView is already being used successfully by North Down Borough Council in Northern Ireland, where it has received an enthusiastic response from citizens, businesses and local representatives in the region.
